Privacy
How this site handles your data.
This notice covers the website at sumn.run and the early access programme. When Sumn launches with user accounts, that will be covered by its own privacy terms.

Visiting the site
We use PostHog for site analytics, configured without cookies: our analytics stores nothing in your browser and no identifier follows you between visits. Cloudflare hosts the site and measures performance, also without cookies. As with any hosting provider, IP addresses appear in Cloudflare's server logs, which are used to serve and protect the site. Your theme preference is stored locally in your browser and is not sent to us.
Advertising
This site uses the Meta (Facebook) pixel. It sends Meta the pages you visit here, along with your IP address, browser and device information, and cookie identifiers, and Meta may combine that with information it already holds from its own products and other sites. We use it to measure interest and to reach a similar audience when we advertise. Meta processes this under its own privacy policy, which can include handling outside Australia and New Zealand.
We do not load the pixel for visitors whose browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, or for visitors in regions that require prior consent for this kind of tracking. You can also block third-party scripts or trackers to stop it, and the site works exactly the same without it; your Meta ad settings control personalisation on Meta's side. The pixel's cookie lasts up to 90 days.
Early access requests
If you submit the early access form, we store the email address you provide, your description of the process you want to run, the country the request came from, the page it was submitted from, and your browser's user-agent string.
This record is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure, and we keep it until the early access programme ends or you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. A copy may be forwarded to our internal Slack workspace so that a person sees it promptly. We use your email address to respond to your request and for no other purpose. We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not share your details with third parties beyond the providers listed below, and we do not sell personal data.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing privacy@sumn.run. We honour these requests regardless of where you live. If you are covered by the GDPR or similar legislation, they are also your legal right.
Service providers
Four providers process data on our behalf to run this site: Cloudflare (hosting, storage and performance), PostHog (analytics), Meta (advertising measurement) and Slack (internal notifications).
